Film

Before being dubbed as the “Phenomenal Box-Office Star,” Jose Marie Borja Viceral, better known as Vice Ganda, once played minor roles in local comedy films, throwing only a few lines.

However, after several years of hard work, movie producers started to notice his innate potential in making viewers laugh. He was then given the opportunity to be the lead actor in his breakout movie – Petrang Kabayo in 2010.

After being given the chance to hit the big screen, Vice Ganda didn’t cease to be phenomenal thus beating his box-office record every year. His latest movie, ‘The Super Parental Guardians’ is now the country’s highest grossing local film earning P590.1 million.

Television

Before being recognized as “unkabogable” in terms of hosting and judging, Vice Ganda started it small in television. One might have seen him in a primetime series or in a guesting before, yet, weren’t aware of it.

Fortunately, the spotlight turned in favor to him as he became a part of the variety show in ABS-CBN – It’s Showtime (2009). The said show made him the country’s trendsetter.

He was then given his own talk-show – Gandang Gabi Vice in 2011 which already had its fifth anniversary.
